Who we are
Care is all we do.
Soft Steps Child Care was founded by a childcare professional with over seven years of experience working closely with children and families.
Over a career as a nanny, our founder became a trusted part of the families she cared for. That experience taught us something we build everything on: childcare is about much more than keeping a child safe — it’s about creating a loving, comfortable environment where children feel understood, confident, and cared for.
Why Soft Steps exists
The little moments are the whole job.
From everyday routines and developmental activities to park outings, reading, hands-on care, and the many small moments that make up a child’s day — thoughtful, attentive care is the standard we hold every caregiver to. Years of working directly with families gave us a deep understanding of the trust and peace of mind parents look for when choosing a caregiver.
Soft Steps was created from that same belief: that finding the right caregiver should feel personal, comfortable, and trustworthy. Our goal is to connect families with compassionate, dependable caregivers who genuinely care about the children they work with and understand the importance of building meaningful relationships.

We check in after the first week and the first month, and we help work through schedule changes, expectations, and the occasional bumpy patch.
